Do you want to start work in a practical role straight away? And create a solid foundation for the start of your career with first-class training? Then an exciting apprenticeship at CLAAS is the right choice for you.

Mechatronics Specialist

CLAAS harvesting machines and production plants are equipped with the latest technology and electronics - and that makes our Mechatronics Specialist apprenticeship the ideal starting point for an exciting and interesting career.

During your training period, you will work in development as well as in production and maintenance. In the process, you will learn how to work with various materials such as metals or plastics either manually or with the use of machines. Whether it be mechanical, electronic or hydraulic parts - here, you will learn to combine these mechatronic systems. During your training period, you will also learn how to perform fault analysis to ensure that mechatronic systems are restored to their proper operating state. This not only requires a good level of technical understanding, but also good skills in mathematics and physics.

Did you know?

The overall length of the copper lines which are installed in a combine harvester is around 3.5 kilometres ,which equals roughly 2.2 miles.

During your training as a Mechatronics specialist, you will for example build switchgear cabinets for our production plants, learn how the parts are correctly wired to each other and understand how the lines are installed. You will also service and maintain the production plants which are already in place. Tasks such as measuring and inspecting systems or installing and testing hardware and software on our harvesting machines are also covered in your training programme.

As a Mechatronics specialist, your training will therefore certainly be "electrifying"!
