Do you want to start work in a practical role straight away? And create a solid foundation for the start of your career with first-class training? Then an exciting apprenticeship at CLAAS is the right choice for you.

Industrial Clerk

Do you like to work in a team? Are you always organised and interested in varied business processes within an international family-owned company? With the Industrial Management Assistant training programme at CLAAS, you will be giving yourself the best opportunity to enter a varied occupational field. Whether it is the marketing or human resources department, purchasing, sales or accounting - at CLAAS, industrial management assistants work in almost all of the commercial departments.

"My highlight is subdivided into many small highlights: For example, the introduction week, where we got to know all students and apprentices. It was a great experience with a lot of fun."

(Mona Westhus, Apprentice Industrial clerk)

The business-oriented apprenticeships at CLAAS offer a special combination of theory and practice. Our full-time trainers and dedicated training officers in the departments serve as your point of contact throughout your programme and ensure that both, mandatory material and company-specific expertise is conveyed effectively. In this way, we ensure that you obtain first-class training and give you orientation for your career at CLAAS.

You will get to know our different commercial departments and grow with the respective tasks and challenges you face. In the purchasing department, for example, your role as an Industrial Management Assistant could be to procure materials for the production of harvesting machines. In this function, you would locate potential suppliers, compare offers and negotiate prices.

In sales, on the other hand, you could be responsible for the complete processing of orders, from the receipt of the incoming order to the timely worldwide delivery of our harvesting machines.

Do you have any questions about the training programme or would you like to apply directly? Your contacts will be happy to answer any questions you might have.

  • Additional qualification as Foreign Language Correspondent

CLAAS is represented in 140 countries worldwide - languages therefore play an important role in our strongly multinational company. We therefore offer our commercial trainees a 14-months additional qualification as a Foreign Language Correspondent (IHK) in parallel with your main training programme.

In conjunction with an external language school, you receive lessons in business English twice a week to prepare you for the IHK examination as a Foreign Language Correspondent.

"The additional qualification as a foreign language correspondent clerk makes it possible to amplify my English skills and to implement this knowledge in different departments."

    (Viviane Laumann, Apprentice Industrial clerk)

Learn how much fun you can have doing translations: Whether it is from English or into English! You will learn to write business letters, summarise texts and practice making telephone calls in English about business-related topics such as exporting or the stock market.
